College years where spend in the USA and ended later with a graduation in Paris. The first show in 1998 was held as a student exhibition at the ACA Gallery and the following year, she received her first award. She has since exhibited her work in many different galleries, art spaces, and cultural institutions. She has worked closely with artists like the French performance artist Orlan and joined many different art projects mostly to establish a sub cultural art scene in Munich.

In 2006 the choice of material included acrylics, ink, and photography. The current series of drawings starting in 2007 were based on large scale oil and acrylic paintings depicting trees. The colors and materials reflect multi-cultural influences gained through lifelong travel throughout several different countries and continents. The first flow-drawings in ink and graphite on paper were the beginning of the series of ‘treow.objects’, small scale drawings on paper mounted on wood. The materials range from graphite, charcoal, watercolors to ink pen and color pigments.

Diane Kokoé Amah lives and works in Munich.
